Middle Saxon/Late Saxon incomplete hooked tag, with lobed edge and twin perforated lugs or ‘ears’, circular central field of niello (now pale green) inlaid with scrolling silver wire, stump of missing hook at base. Cf. almost identical example from Bawsey in The Making of England (1991), 231-2, no.188 (g). 8th-9th century.
