Copper-alloy buckle loop; D-shaped, plain, inset at inner edge, sheet-metal copper-alloy pin.

Helen Geake writes: This is probably a small buckle of the kind which is occasionally found in fifth- or sixth-century graves, but which is very much more common in seventh- or early eighth-century graves. The style then appears to go out of use, although this may be due more to the fact that buckles were no longer being deposited in furnished graves than to them no longer being used.
