BROOCH
Unique ID: HAMP1008
Object type certainty: Certain
Copper-alloy annular brooch. Broad band, slightly concave towards centre. Irregular, poorly abraded concentric band. Broken catchplate, loop on reverse where missing pin would have been attached. Chipped slightly at periphery.
Notes:
Annular brooches are reasonably common in late 5th-7th century contexts, although the pin arrangement differs from this example; this form generally has a perforation through the band to take a pin.
