There is also a handle protruding from the outside edge at the top of the artefact, which is square in plan and irregularly sub-triangular in side section. Additionally, there is a pierced circular hole (diameter of hole: 7.5mm) in the centre of the handle that may have been used for suspension, possibly from a belt or hanging from a wall. The inside of the vessel is covered\/ sealed with a light brown glaze, some of which appears around the outside rim of the vessel and a small amount down the outside edge where the glaze would have probably run during the firing process. The coarse hard-fired fabric of the vessel is light orange\/ beige in colour and appears to have numerous small grit inclusions. Overall, the beaker is in a slightly worn but good condition.","notes":null,"old_findID":"WMID-956A81","id":"154952","objecttype":"vessel","classification":null,"subclass":null,"reuse":null,"created":"2006-12-20 15:33:13","broadperiod":"POST MEDIEVAL","updated":"2011-02-24 13:17:08","treasureID":null,"secwfstage":"4","secuid":"001458957B9016A1","findofnote":"0","objecttypecert":"1","datefound1":"2006-07-15","datefound2":null,"createdBy":"105","curr_loc":null,"inscription":null,"reason":null,"subsequentAction":"Returned to finder"}],"record":[{"id":"154952","old_findID":"WMID-956A81","uniqueID":"001458957B9016A1","objecttype":"vessel","classification":null,"subclass":null,"length":"50","height":null,"width":null,"thickness":null,"diameter":"40.5","quantity":"1","other_ref":null,"treasureID":null,"broadperiod":"POST MEDIEVAL","numdate1":"1600","numdate2":"1800","description":"A complete probably handmade ceramic beaker, probably dating from the Post Medieval period, between AD 1600 \u2013 1800 (length: 50mm; diameter at base: 40.5mm; weight: 43.72g).

The beaker is sub-cylindrical in shape with slanting walls that slope inwards to a smaller diameter of 29.5mm at the top of the vessel.
