Silver ring, broad band with plain interior, inscribed inside in capitals: 'IN TRVST BE IVST'. 16th-17th century. A characteristic type for the period with short capital letter inscription. A ring with the same inscription is in the British Museum (Joan Evans gift: 1961, 12-2, 414).
Notes:
The precious metal content of the ring fulfils the requirements of the Treasure Act in that it is greater than 10%
This find is a disclaimed Treasure find (reference 2006 T498). It was subsequently donated to the Dorset County Museum (accession no. DORCM 2007.373).
