Badge
Unique ID: NCL-F80376
Object type certainty: Certain
A cast copper-alloy badge of a bat with outstretched wings. The body of the bat has a setting that would have originally held a stone, now lost. The wings are slightly twisted, and the surface of the object is uneven in quality. In some places, notably around the body, is a surface similar to gilding in appearance. Straw has become afixed to the surface due to oxidation. A stud on the back of the left wing suggests that a pin fastening system may have been lost.
