A cast brass fob seal, dating from the late 18th - 19th century. The seal comprises an openwork frame setting, of which only a fragment survives. A glass double faced intaglio also survives and still fits inside the setting. One face of the intaglio depicts a soldier wearing a helmet and a plated armour shirt. He is facing right. The other side depicts a winged figure running to the right, with an uncertain object/creature in front of him. Seal frame measurement: length: 29.74mm, width: 21.39mm, thickness: 3.11mm, weight: 1.75g.
