Large copper alloy Anglo-Saxon pin. The pin has a globular decorated head covered with the ring and dot motif. The top of the pinhead is flattened with a central ring and dot. Below the pin head there is a small collar (a common characteristic of Anglo-Saxon pins) and the shaft tapers towards the end with a slight thickening about two thirds of the way down. The shaft has a 'V' shaped bend about half way down and the sharp tip of the pin is bent again. The pin weighs 5.8g and measures 48.7mm in length, 9.9mm in width (across the pin head).
