Five lead or lead alloy irregular circular tokens of medieval or post medieval date (1400-1700). Each of the tokens is decorated on one face only; the reverse of each token is plain and undecorated. All bar one are a white colour with a corroded patina. The other is a mid brown grey colour. All have been worn and abraded in the ploughsoil. The five tokens are described below (in the photo they are described in a clockwise pattern starting from the top left hand corner).
1. The decoration on the front face of this token is that of a cartwheel. This consists of a central flattened pellet around which are ten unevenly spaced irregular radiating lines. The token measures 15.3mm length, 14.6mm width, is 2.1mm thick, and weighs 2.4 grams. It is possible that this token may be a small bag seal, however not enough survives to substantiate this.
2. The decoration on the front face of this token is that of a cross. This consists of four irregular triangles joined at their apexes to form a cross. It measures 15.1mm length, 21.1mm width, is 4.3mm thick, and weighs 8.03 grams.
3. The decoration on the front face of this token is that of a flower (daisy). This consists of a central flattened pellet around which are five evenly spaced petals formed from irregular hollow lentoid shaped loops. It measures 17.5mm length, 15.8mm width, is 2.4mm thick, and weighs 4.04 grams.
4. The decoration on the front face of this token is that of a flower (daisy). This consists of a central raised pellet around which are six evenly spaced petals formed from hollow lentoid shaped loops. It measures 20.9mm length, 17.2mm width, is 4mm thick and weighs 5.25 grams.
5. This token is irregular in plan with a large amount of mould waste attached. The decoration on the front face of this token is that of a cartwheel. This consists of a central flattened pellet around which are six evenly spaced radiating linear lines. These connect and are contained by an outer circle. The token measures 21.5mm length, 19.9mm width, is 2.9mm thick, and weighs 4.88 grams.
