The bit and a fragment of the stem of a copper-alloy rotary key, now worn. The stem fragment is hollow and rectangular in cross-section. It measures 32.2mm in length, 8.1mm in width and 7.6mm in thickness. The bit is rectangular, 22mm in width and 21.9mm in lenght with two pairs of opposing rectangular shaped notches and one central rectangular notch in its outer edge. This key is most likely to be medieval in date.
