A cast copper alloy Roman lock-pin. The pin is derived from a small lock from a box or cupboard. The artefact comprises a circular head, decorated with two concentric rings, with a pellet in the centre. The head measures 7.07mm in diameter and is 1.36mm thick. The shaft is rectangular in section; it is 22.36mm long, 3.92mm wide and 3.43mm thick. The shaft is broken at the opposite terminal to the head, leaving behind only part of the circular perforation. The break is worn and irregular. The metal is a mid greyish-green colour.
