Short profile:

Dot originates from Germany and completed her undergraduate studies at the Freie Universitaet Berlin in 1999. She then moved to England because she always felt more at home here rather than in Germany. She then decided to get her teeth into British Archaeology; since she comes from Northern Germany originally, it only felt too natural to follow the \'trails\' of her fore-bearers, the Anglo-Saxons, and move to England. Thus, between 1999-2001, she studied Anglo-Saxon metalwork during the Migration Period (AD375-520) at Oxford and completed an MSt and an MPhil. She is currently completing her PhD on the metalwork of the Late Bronze and Early Iron transition in Britain (850-600BC).Dot says: On a more personal note - by now I am almost married to my socketed bronze axeheads and I hope that there\'ll be loads still buried in the Lancashire and Cumbria soils for people to find (and have me identify them!!).
