Stephanie Smith is theFinds Liaison Officer for Sussex and works for the Sussex Archaeological Society.She has two MA postgraduate degrees: one in Artefact Studies from University College London's Institute of Archaeology and another in Classical Art & Archaeology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Recently, Stephanie celebrated four years as Finds Liaison Officer and counts herself lucky to have so many wonderful finders and colleagues.
Stephanie grew up in the state of Michigan in the US. She has excavated at numerous sites, both in the US and abroad, including a Huron indigenous settlement site in Michigan, a Mesolithic prehistoric site in Yorkshire and an imperial villa complex in Rome.
Stephanie would love to hear from anyone who has found objects they would like to identify and record. She is located at the Barbican House Museum in Lewes, East Sussex and will be scheduling finds events in conjunction with multiple local museums throughout the year.
